Spa 56 Massage SkinCare NYC

I’m a big fan of massages and get them quite frequently. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional quality of their deep tissue or shiatsu massages. Its a friendly and clean ambiance, but it was my masseuse, Yo-Yo, who was incredible! I enjoyed a 60-minute deep tissue massage and a 40-minute body scrub. My skin felt silky soft, and my body was completely relaxed. It’s easily one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I wish I lived in New York again so I could visit them regularly. I eagerly anticipate my next visit to see Yo-Yo and hope it won’t be too long. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly exceptional massage experience.

Great spa experience. The establishment is clean and smells nice. The ladies doing our massages were professional and did an excellent job. They were able to work out some really tight knots in my shoulders. I would definitely go back again!

I recently booked a treatment at Spa 56 through Groupon, and unfortunately, my experience did not live up to expectations. First off, I was surprised to find that they charged extra sales tax on top of my Groupon price… Upon arrival, there was a noticeable lack of hospitality. I wasn't offered access to the bathroom, nor any water or tea—basic amenities that are typically provided at most spas. The 70-minute scrub treatment I booked was cut short to about 60 minutes, and there was no explanation or communication about what was being done during the process. It would have been nice if they explained the products they were using or at least let me know what to expect throughout the treatment. After the scrub, I took a shower, but there was no moisturizing offered, which is essential after such treatments. In fact, I was left feeling dry and unhydrated, and there was no offer of hydration or any other follow-up services. Although I tipped, I left feeling like the experience didn’t warrant such a gratuity. In hindsight, I should have tipped less given the lack of hospitality, communication, and overall service quality. Overall, this visit was disappointing, and I would not recommend Spa 56 based on my experience.

Got the 40 minute Korean scrub. Cleanliness 1 star very clean. Customer service 1 star, price 1 star very affordable compare to other place, experience 1 star. They didn’t get the 5th star because it wasn’t a tradition Korean scrub. She scrub u on the table with water and mineral. The. You shower. The shower was great love the shower head.

Good massage but extorts you afterwards. Very rude staff at reception. Do not recommend. Edit: you literally attempted to extort me. Your prices display $75 for a one hour massage. If a 20% tip is expected, display it on the price list. Instead of pocketing the money for sitting at the reception, you should use that money to pay your employees a livable wage. Don’t rely on me to feed your employees you refuse to pay an hourly wage to because you’re a greedy business owner.
