Located at 246 Grand St, New York, NY 10002, i Beauty Spa provides massage services within the "Spa Near Me" category. Customer reviews present a mixed experience, with some praising the quality of the massage itself, while others raise concerns about the spa's environment and service.
Positive reviews note that the massage therapists are skilled and responsive to customer requests, particularly regarding pressure and specific techniques. One reviewer mentioned that the therapist began the massage by walking on their back, and the massage itself was satisfactory. This reviewer also noted that the typical massage spa aroma was present.
However, several reviews express significant concerns about the spa's environment and service. These concerns include:
One reviewer described a particularly negative experience involving an attempt to have them share a massage room with a stranger, an unpleasant odor from the massage table, and subsequent intrusions into their privacy. This reviewer indicated that the overall experience was far below expectations, even for a Chinatown massage spa.
Potential customers should consider these mixed reviews before visiting i Beauty Spa. For appointments or inquiries, the spa can be contacted at (212) 625-8881 or +1 212-625-8881.

Get directionsI tried this place because of a Groupon offer. I arrived 15 minutes late, but that didn't cut into any of the hour that I had. I asked for lots of pressure and the therapist clearly understood what I meant. She even started off by walking on my back! I didn't have weird smelling towels like a previous review had, but the place did smell like most massage places smell like- massage oil and aroma therapy. I'm really pleased with my visit. I would go back.
Jan 30, 2016 · Dylan McMahonGRUNGY. The massage room had 2 tables less than 2ft apart and no divider. My masseuse, who was the only positive about this place, left me to undress. As I took off my shoes, I heard another masseuse outside the room asking her customer if she would be okay sharing a room. A second later, the door swung open and in they came. The timid Eastern European woman said "I'm not sure about this" but her masseuse continued to persuade her to share the room with me, while completely ignoring that I was standing right there about to change. Anyone care to ask me how I feel about sharing a room with a total stranger? After the 3rd attempt to convince her customer and still ignoring me, as if it was the norm for Asian customers to share, I cut that masseuse off in Chinese and asked "do you have a curtain or a divider?" She said no, so I bluntly told her I was not okay with this and stared her down until they left. They looked uncomfortable as they left, even though they had just intruded into the room as I was changing and I should be the one horrified by what happened. With my last attempts to enjoy the massage, I laid down on the table, which smelled like rotten cologne. Days later, and I can still conceptualize the smell. For the first time, I contemplated leaving but my masseuse came in and she was very apologetic. The massage itself was good but not relaxing because of the other masseuse, the nasty table and towel, and the dozens of screaming kids next door. When I was changing to leave, another masseuse almost stormed in and then left the door ajar 4 inches. I've been to tons of Chinatown massage spas and I set my expectations very low, but apparently not low enough. This place is the only one where I truly felt disgusted, and they tried to convince me to come back for their usual rate of $70 per hour. Not in this part of town! There are dozens of spectacular places for $40 around the corner.
Nov 24, 2015 · Iris YungWorst experience ever! Do not go there! Went there for a Brazilian waxing and the woman didn't have a clue of what she was doing, looked like her first time. She didn't even wear gloves. She burned me! She even tried to pull out my hair with her bare hands!!!! Crazy.. And rude. She treated me like it was my first time (when I've been doing this for 15years!) because it was too painful. It was pure torture. And when I ended up telling her to stop after 45min of non-sense she tried to "finish"..then I tipped her only 10% (even still too much for the work accomplished) and she dared asking me more!! The wax was cheap and not suitable for such waxing. Very terrible place!
May 25, 2016 · Jennifer VI have been coming here fairly regularly for years. If you don't care about a luxury setting and just want a good massage for a very reasonable price this is the spot. All the staff are friendly and accommodating.
Aug 17, 2017 · Elyse KerschnerMade an appointment online and then called after an hour when I didn't receive any kind of confirmation and the man on the phone said "no appointment, busy today, no today" then hung up. Will be returning all pre purchased massages. SO RUDE.
