Facials by Bonnie

Highly recommend does not really do Bonnie's work justice. I had been dealing with sub-dermal acne issues (including milia around the eyes and deeper chin acne) since being a teenager into my early 30s. 3-4ish sessions with Bonnie later, my skin was acne-free. I have since moved from NYC to LA and can no longer see Bonnie but, to be honest, I don't need to because Bonnie does her job so well and equips you with knowledge to help you maintain her work long-term. She's a professional. Her work lives on years and years after the actual sessions. Also, she's such a pleasant, positive and caring person. I miss you, Bonnie. You're the best.

The best nyc facial for those struggling with acne and breakouts! Bonnie is thorough with her extractions, and was so kind and patient in helping me figure out a new skincare routine. While on the pricier side, her acne facial is worth it for glowing skin & less frequent breakouts- and she’ll even help review your own cosmetic/ skincare products and teach you how to identify pore clogging ingredients. Highly recommend for anyone with acne prone skin.

This review is for Danae! I started going to Facials by Bonnie after a bad experience with my previous aesthetician in Flatiron. I started with a face full of painful, slightly itchy acne that had been there for several years. I was getting monthly extractions at that point, but with so few positive results that I was starting to harbor doubts. After I made the right decision of switching clinics, I booked Danae and went for my first facial. She is a very skilled practitioner. I never get bruised skin after extractions the way I used to, and everything heals very well. Many aestheticians in the city will use scare tactics to convince their clients to stay. If they are halfway decent at extractions, they will imply that any other aesthetician carries the risk of infecting your acne. This was a big reason why I stayed with my previous aesthetician for as long as I did. BUT I am pleased to say that the Facials by Bonnie clinic provides the best experience for acne extractions that I've found so far in NYC. Danae has shown great attentiveness to detail, and she is a very receptive listener who retains an impressive amount of information about her client's skin. I have a lot of sensitivities/allergies, and she followed my case to the tee. With Danae, I cut back to one appointment every two months or so. I was afraid of aggravating my skin too much, but even on this schedule my skin has drastically improved. She has a lot of experience dealing with sensitive skin and immune systems, and has always shown that she is interested in growing her knowledge further. I never get the feeling that she's selling me an approach based on hearsay or just to push product -- whereas before I started coming here, I used to get that feeling all the time. With Danae's help and support, I have managed to narrow down my skin sensitivities to concrete ingredients and expand my knowledge as well. She is an ethical person with sincere professionalism, a great memory for the scientific aspects of her work, and I am very happy to have switched over to being her client!
