I've had the pleasure of going here a few times over the past couple of years. I tried the ionic foot bath which I originally found on Groupon! It was terrific! Most recently I tried the Ozone Therapy to boost my immune system when I had strep throat- and sure enough 24 hours later- it was cured! Glenn helped me and was terrific throughout the entire process. The receptionist was also extremely kind and helpful! It's a beautiful space!

I had read about La Casa on a recent post on Salon. The article was about floating. And after reading it, I decided I needed to make a bee-line to this place - apparently about the only place in NYC where one can float. I decided to give myself a real treat, and not only float, but to do a kind of mini-detox day as well. So I made the appointment for the float and a colonic and an oxygen steam bath. I went after having had a harrowing day. I walked in agitated and hurried. But the man at the desk was so wonderful to me, helped me to relax immediately. Really a very kind older man who actually reminded me of my grandfather..The float was exquisite. I was so relaxed, I fell into a kind of dream-like state. The warm water undulated with my bodily movements. They say it is a replica of the experience of being back in the womb, and that is, indeed, how it felt. I felt wet and warm and comforted and supported and relaxed and just plain wonderful. I floated for an hour, and must have fallen dead asleep at some point because I woke to a gentle tapping on the wall. It was the older man who knocked to get me out. I was in such a DEEP DEEP place. If he had not knocked on the wall of the float chamber I wouldn't have heard him. I barely heard him as it was. I came out of there feeling better than I had in weeks ‹ clear-minded, refreshed, utterly awake and alive. Then on to the colonic. Well, I can't say it was either as relaxing or as sublime. But I think it served a valuable function. I did the Bio-Colonic. I have had many colonics. I don't particularly like them, but I would say that this is the best one I have ever had because of lying atop the Bio-Mat during the procedure. As it was explained to me by my very nice colon therapist, this mat emits both negative ions and far-infrared rays. As with the float, I felt remarkably relaxed (I say remarkably because having a colonic is not when I have ever felt relaxed before). It was the mat that did it. I actually was almost asleep at one point when I was on my back. Apparently everyone that does the Bio-Colonic says that they have had the most relaxed colonic ever on that thing. I ended my stay with the oxygen steam. It was my least favorite thing there because I had to sit in a steam cabinet. Nevertheless, when I left I felt cleansed like never before, relaxed like there's no tomorrow to worry about at all, refreshed, revitalized, renewed. I felt like tap dancing all the way down the street. I give the place 5 big stars. (and while there are some fake plants, there are also lots of live plants and actually I thought the combo made a rather nice jungle-ly effect. I liked it.) I'm telling you, ladies and gents, go to this place.

I've been to La Casa Day Spa many times. The reason is because it has been so helpful for my health and wellness. I've had massages there that are exceptional and I've had several colonics with Gayatri and Cheryl. They have a better dozen different kinds of colonics each one specialized and having a different effect. I don't believe there's another place like it either in New York or on the planet. Is very welcome down-home feeling to the place, both fresh and comforting at the same time. They also have a great flotation room which I have also experienced and found it to be profoundly relaxing. And it's quite a unique experience. Never really great array of effective and unusual healing modalities. Check out the website, look at all the wonderful things they have to offer come on and treat yourself to a very healing experience.

La Casa Day Spa is a great place to visit to come to relax, rewind, and feel better! I can attest to my own experience there with the wonderful plethora of treatments provided by the founder, Dr. Jane Goldberg, PhD. She has provided a wonderful variety of powerful, state of the art machines and treatments that I have never seen assembled in one place before. I have found the Accu-Pulse 8000 PEMF machine as well as the Rejuva-Pod to be excellent treatments for inflammation and pain management. It is particularly useful for individuals seeking a non-pharmaceutical solution to issues of inflammation and pain so common with aging! I highly recommend this wonderful spa!

There is no other place that feels as healing as La Casa Spa & Wellness. I have been going for years to get colonics and facials. Recently I went in after having been sick with a reoccurring fever and nausea for three weeks and did a colonic followed by a session in their latest revolutionary machine, The HOCATT. Determined to get better and overcome the extreme sickness I had experienced for three weeks I did three sessions that week. On the third HOCATT session I experienced an extreme detox called a Herx whereby I felt my body was going going backwards in it’s healing process. Dr. Jane Goldberg, the owner of La Casa Spa & Wellness who is completely brilliant and so kind, attended to me immediately and explained that my body was healing by going back to the place where it needed to detox. On my way home I miraculously started to feel better and by the time I got home I felt normal again and the sickness I’d been experiencing for three weeks was gone. Amazing! I returned for more HOCATT sessions following that event to make sure the sickness was completely gone and now I am back to good health with no more fevers and nausea. I highly recommend the HOCATT and all the services at La Casa Spa & Wellness. The staff are highly knowledgeable and experienced and very attentive to clients’ needs. I’ve gotten colonics with both colon therapists, Gaya and Cher. They are both so knowledgeable and helpful. Roxie who put me in the HOCATT was also wonderful and very attentive to my needs. The combination of an ozone colonic followed by the HOCATT was especially detoxifying and healed me completely. This a gem of a place.
