Inside Bloomingdale's, you check in at the Clarins counter, then are taken down a corridor into this tiny spa room! It is glossy white and Clarins red, with a pillowy, adjustable, heated table/chair thing that you climb into and then wrap yourself up in this plush comforter thing. I loved that they gave you a spa/towel/gown and a hair wrap, so you could conceivably leave and go do something else afterwards, without your clothes or hair being too goopy. More effort could be put into soundproofing. They blast "relaxing music" but it doesn't quite cover up the noise of the shoppers. Booking was easy on the website, but I was called day of and asked to push my appointment back because another client had come late and would run into my time slot. So it wasn't really asking, and I think the lateness of the time hurt me doubly, as my time was cut, I was rushed in and out and had to awkwardly wait around an extra half hour beforehand. For the spa week special, it was worth it -- and all of the awesome masks and creams and the lymphatic drainage massage had me looking like a newborn on my way out. It was really nice as she was doing it, but leading up to and leading out of was a bit rushed and stressful.
